CHURCH LIBRARY
Did you know that the church library has over 3500 volumes lining its shelves? The third part of Federated Church's mission statement defines our commitment to "transformation through study and prayer." To nurture Christian spiritual growth and development, Peggy Harris has carefully catalogued the resources donated by dozens of members to make our library one of the most comprehensive in all of Flagstaff.
No matter where you are in your lifelong journey of spiritual exploration, you can find books and other media that can help guide you, inspire you, educate you, or simply entertain you.
If you find comfort in popular Christian writers, there are titles from Philip Yancey, Lee Strobel, Max Lucado, C.S. Lewis, Billy Graham, and others to select from.
If you are seeking a deeper understanding of Christianity and belief, works by theologians and philosophers such as Juan Luis Segundo, Robert McAfee Brown, Søren Kierkegaard, Hans Küng, Martin Buber, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Karl Barth, Gustavo Gutierrez, Marcus Borg, William James, Rudolf Bultmann, Simone de Beauvoir, and others are available.
The library also houses reference materials, including biblical commentaries, concordances, encyclopedias, histories of Christianity, and the Presbyterian Book of Order and United Methodist Book of Discipline.
The church library is located in Room #20 on the second floor of the Beamer Education Building and is open on Sundays from 8:45am to 12:15pm. The children's collection is located on the shelves across the hall from the library.
