MUSIC & CHOIRS

Flagstaff Federated Community Church has a strong music program!

The Chancel Choir performs primarily in the Traditional service, often featuring solos and ensembles. Major works are often performed during the Christmas and Easter seasons. Accompaniment is provided by our newly-restored organ or piano. The Chancel Choir rehearses from 7:30-8:30pm on Thursday nights.

The Celebration Singers perform several times each month in the COntemporary service. Their music tends to be more contemporary in nature, and accompaniment is often guitar or piano. Rehearsals for Celebration Singers are held on Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm. The adult choirs are directed by Karen Miskell.

FFCC also has an English Handbell choir. They ring five octaves of Schulmerch handbells and three octaves of Malmark handchimes. The Bell Choir performs in Sunday services once per month during the school year, and rehearses on Thursday evenings at 6:00pm. Rebecca Cauthen serves as director of the Bell Choir, as well as the church organist.

The Children's Choir rehearses each Sunday morning from 9:50-10:10am during the school year. Ranging in age from 4 to 12 year-olds, they are a spirited and joyous group! Performances are generally once per month. Marie Zelenka serves as director of the Children's Choir, as well as the church pianist.
