Adult Education

Christian Beliefs Class
The adult Sunday school class on Christian Beliefs meets between 9:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.  It addresses the origins of our Christian faith with emphasis on the theological and/or historical basis for specific beliefs. The class is centered on text books selected by the class.  A primary aspect of this class is on the beliefs of the individual class members and their personal perspectives on the reading assignment. We have a very broad spectrum of personal beliefs and religious backgrounds represented and the class tends to be exciting and vocal.

The book selection for Fall 2008 is The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism by Timothy Keller.

Christian Living
The Christian Living adult Sunday school class meets between 9:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.  The class reads and discusses books which help us try to live as Christians.  We have read a number of different books on a wide variety of subjects from basic Christianity, to Christian mystics, to the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission. A advantage of being a Federated Church is that the different religious backgrounds of the class members helps to keep the discussion lively and interesting. We all usually learn something from each other in every Sunday.  We meet in Room 9 downstairs in the Education Building.  All are welcome to join us.
