Call to Action

• Do you know your ecological footprint? If not, go to www.myfootprint.org and take the test. There may be a surprise in store for you.  If you or a friend are unable to go on-line at home, Karen Appleby’s office is open and her computer is available every Sunday morning during Coffee Hour.

• Christians for the Earth answered the call to action for Step It Up.  Visit
www.stepitup2007.org to read all about the event we co-sponsored with NAU Campus Climate Challenge on April 14.  Once you are on the website, find Flagstaff by our zip code.

• On June 16 and 17, ten hardy Christians for the Earth spent time at a table at Flagstaff's first Sustainable Living Fair.  Approximately 1500 people attended the Fair which was held at Ft Tuthill.  Products from the Coffee Shop and the Light Shop were available at the table along with bumper
stickers and plantable cards.  Tiny Equal Exchange chocolates were given away to many who stopped by the table.  And there will be new ideas at the CFE tables at the 2008 Sustainable Living Fair!

• Christians for the Earth was able to answer a call to action for a table at the NAU Earth Day celebration thanks to Fran Storer! She reports that in spite of a cold and rainy day, the students were very interested in our compostable tableware. They were also interested in fairly traded products, especially the chocolate bars!
